A good chunk of Genz men are unemployed for over a year, meaning they don't counted into the statistics that gets media attention. Be it getting laid off from being replaced with AI/pajeets, or graduated and not landing any entry level jobs. Even when they do get a sustainable job (not flipping burgers), they would live paycheck-to-paycheck for anything that isn't a shoe box, otherwise you need +5 roomates in a 3 bedroom townhome. In this economy, if you can stay at home and save up money, you're already ahead of the pack. This was the norm until the boomer generation, and still is for most places around the world.
Didn't think I'd be back in my mother house at 29 after loosing my cushy job. That said, I'm financially further ahead then I was before with my now lesser job. Instead of paying rent, I care for her medically, run errands, and be a handy man fixing the house. I get to pay off my business degree early, have a large garage as a workshop, and save for a down payment for a house. If you got a parent(s) that still love you, don't be afraid to go back home for a few years to rebuild yourself.
