I've been feeling a bout of love sickness lately. What's the best way to destroy these feelings?

The star trek fantasy is based on a reality where people are capable of ultra high trust and people are literally interchangable. Meaning there is no difference between men and women and no consequence for replacing people with millions from a radically different culture. This is not the reality we live in. I think the best we can get is Starship Troopers. (The book not the movie)
