All gundam shows were made to sell toys and you can’t seriously expect quality storytelling from glorified commercials designed to hawk plastic model kits. The only Gundam entries worth a damn are 0079, 0080, Stargazer, and Hathaway. But let’s be real, three of those aren’t even standalone; they assume you’ve already memorized decades of convoluted lore, so good luck if you’re a newcomer. And 0079, despite being the most mature in its writing, still gets bogged down with piles of filler and cheap monster-of-the-week episodes shoehorned in just to push more merchandise.
