Eternalism IS a concept in-universe, yes, and the Man in the Wall is able to take advantage of it as master of the Khra. But the deal with Wally killed all versions of the Operator besides the one we play, and the Drifter as a part of Wally's own intrigue, and Albrecht accidentally severing Wally's fingers in escaping it managed to bind Wally to our Operator's timeline at that. Since the only thing that exists of the Drifter's timeline is Duviri and the Zariman, this basically means there are no alt timelines, no second chances, no hopping escapes to get away from the consequences of whatever happens.

In very same story update that introduced Eternalism at length by thoroughly explaining it, it also fundamentally rendered it moot for everyone but the Man in the Wall's perspective, because there can only be one central timeline ever more.
