Literally happened to me last night before bed lmao. Though in my case I think it's a manifestation of anxiety because I get this really unpleasant sensation in my chest when I think about it too hard. I like to believe there's an afterlife, I was raised Christian and I do genuinely believe that there exist things beyond what humans are capable of perceiving, but if not then at least I won't have to worry about comprehending the emptiness and eternity of death because I'll be dead, and thus unable to comprehend anything.
