ok anon it’s hard to think of everything but I’ll try ok…
Two main priorities: get gears by turn 7 and alouette. You need to try to get 1-3 drops so hard mulligan for those with the exception of alouette
In most matchups you will need to get Gamma with alouette but for example if there’s an empty board then making a copy of alpha is really hard to deal with as portal since evo alouette is a 4/6, and if they make a striker to kill it then they can’t deal with alouette
Sometimes gamma is necessary but it’s extremely easy to kill as portal so sometimes the games get extremely grindy
You still want to make your mech if possible but it might take longer than other matchups and you have to be willing to adapt
Also pro tip you should basically never play your three drops mechs. Sometimes you need to copy them and it’s good but actually paying mana for them slows down your mech gameplay way too much and will lose you the game
