>walking mausoleum's only ever appear when you're targeting the two least fun nightlords that nobody queues for because they're awful
no wonder nobody sees them.
This is so retarded. Every raid/special occurrence should be available for every nightlord/shifting earth and up to 2 or 3 should be able to happen in the same run. If they want to differentiate between each nightlord just heavily weight towards certain events occuring with certain nightlords but don't eliminate them.
The game is in desperate need of run-variety, I choose to believe they just designed the rng elements of the game extremely poorly and they have to heavily hand-craft all the variants instead of them doing this as an intentional design choice.

genuinely don't understand how positively the game has been received (in general, like with steam reviews and such).
The enemy variety is utterly anemic. The combat system is incredibly simple, tedious and repetitive where you can just use 1 unit (or 1 unit on each side of the school) to kill everything using the same move 10 times in a row, this also applies to bosses.
The only students that aren't a literal walking meme/stereotype is Nozomi, Eito and Tsubasa and you can still make some strong arguments that they aren't exceptions either. Characters like Shouma, Kurara and Kyoshika literally just torpedo the quality of dialog into the the fucking subterranean crust and the game would unironically be better if they were just ripped out entirely with nothing to fill the void.
The story CONSTANTLY does the 'ok i will tell you about [thing], but not now for [retarded fucking reason], i'll tell you in 2 days at night specifically in classroom B' and then inevitably that character dies or some event prevents the knowledge from being shared until 20 hours later. It does this so often that whenever a character tells you they're going to tell you something you can be absolutely sure you're not getting that info.
The persuasion minigame is also downright awful. It's just a straight up worse version of one of the danganronpa arguments.
The only ray of light in this game for me was Eito's combat theme at the end of 1st route. Rumble i think, that was kino.
Are people just this desperate for another danganronpa/999 adjacent style game that they just lap up whatever they can get? It reminds me of Wuxia/Xianxia games where people that want that kind of game have so little choice they sing the praises of the barely mediocre games that release in the genre purely because they exist.
long story short i'm mad i was baited into playing this game
