It's not just confidence. It's learning to be happy with your life. My uncle is alone, unmarried, and single, yet he does not have the same worries a lot of incels do. I think it'll help you out a lot if you put your pride aside, and just learn to accept being alone first before going into a relationship. It will be a good backup to fall on when shit hits the fan.

Got new clothes, got a haircut, listened to decent music, no tattoos, no piercings, and yet still, not be able to leave the edgelord emo phase you had when you were 13? That still emotionally and socially you are still annoyingly your teenage self after years of therapy and medication it still is there and you can't cure it?
