What are some of the most disappointing sequels in gaming history?

>One of the best JRPGs from an era filled with amazing JRPGs
>Had some of the best music in all of gaming
>Recently got a graphic upgrade
>Still no true sequel 20 years later

I don't get why some great games like call of duty get ran into the ground and amazing games like this and Vagrant Story NEVER get proper sequels even though there is tons of interest
