They treat gaming like copper extraction. Just steady growth forever where you're extracting a steady and predictable product. Final Fantasy, Dragon Age, etc are just copper, steel, uranium, etc. It's all the same for them since they don't interact with the business end.
They're chasing trends to make the line go up, and they're chasing the most profitable trends, which they don't think are risks since others are making huge money on them. They're not seeing the entire system was collapsing post 2020.
