God literally calls the Israelites for making shit up about the law of Moses in the Bible itself. Why do people think the Bible is generally a reliable source on the desires of God?

“22 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.”
(Funny how this verse is purposefully mistranslated by certain manuscripts which make it seem as if God says “I did not only tell your laws regarding burnt offerings and sacrifice”.

By the way, in the Book of Adam and Eve Cain and Abel’s offerings were switched. The preferred offering was the fruit of the field, NOT an innocent animal.

God’s ideal world is one where predator and prey are at peace with one another and carnivorous beings are vegan

“And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.“

In our original state we were vegans. God wants us to be vegans if we have the willpower for it.
