Something a lot of people forget is that Toby *already* had an audience before creating Undertale, he was a prominent musician for Homestuck which, at its peak, was MASSIVELY popular. He didn't start as a no-name and became massively succesful from one day to the next.

So what you can do is collaborate with others first. Become part of a project, and if it's succesful, develop a platform, and once you have followers and aren't a nobody, THEN you can start showcasing your own works to people that will be interested.
