The record holder for Japanese horse that went the fastest is still Calstone Light O I believe, who set a record time on the 1000m Ibis Summer Dash of 57.2 seconds.
Suzuka had a very flashy style of racing by taking the lead at the start and keeping it the whole race, as well as winning against very strong horses like El Condor Pasa. There’s a pretty famous quote from a keiba writer or commentator (possible have this part wrong) that goes “My dream is Silence Suzuka”, and huge lead he had before the tragic end to it all really just adds to the possibilities because of the what if factor.

Newfags, the most important stats for Support Cards early on are SPECIALTY RATE and STARTING BOND.
Building strong hors revolves around chaining rainbows as many turns as possible, while balancing risk for huge gains and hammering the same training types over and over again so you raise the training level for better stat gains.
Specialty Rate makes this easier and more consistent by applying as a percentage multiplier to the base ~20% rate a card has of actually showing up on the training it’s supposed to.
Starting Bond makes it easier to start actually doing rainbow training by gifting you a lump sum of Bond Gauge from the start, usually 3-4 training turns worth.
If a card has less than 35% Specialty Rate and 20 Starting Bond you should probably replace it in your deck for the time being.
