Why is this game so fucking RNG
Not only everything else in the game is purely RNG and whatever you pick only guides it a certain way, which is -okay-
But the races themselves are so much bullshit with anything but front runner
Even if you pick nimble navigator, go with the flow, have 600+ STR 500+ WIT, you still get stuck randomly, dragged back to >10th
and even when the uma finally decides to break out and make a run for it, there's a Silence Suzuka just deciding to take off to Africa with only 500 Speed somehow that you can't even imagine catching up to her at that point.
Does it ever get better in the future or is this the fate of every other style other than front runner?
and I'm not saying this as someone who has no experience, I've extensively played pace chasers, late surgers and end closers and when I get the rng to get what my uma needs to do everything correctly about 75% of the time it works, and the 25% of the time I'm just praying I'm not fucked by RNG. Why does the game favor one style much more over the others? Why does my Umas have a 25% chance to catastrophically crash out every damn race? And don't even get me started on optional races, some random noname jobber on steroids just hellbent on ruining your uma's career half the time...
