I’m 37. I was involved in a long-term relationship for almost 10 years. We were young and had the world ahead of us. We were both broke when we met. Dating for like a year straight and dealing with the same thing with no variation in outcome hollows you out. It was never this hard or demoralizing when I was younger. I wanted marriage and kids but that ship has sailed. I’ve aged out of it. I’m just tired now. I’m old and I just want to rest.
