This is what I mean. You read so many reddit comments that you can't make heads or tails of any of them. The rules are going nowhere. They aren't getting rid of them. Who, besides reddit and basedtubers told you they were going away?

And along those lines, are you intentionally being stupid with that terminator line? Wtf why would the new primaris scale terminators not be primaris? Why would they not want to sell you those bitches for ten years?

where do you think they go after they don't sell and they dissapear from the shelves??? They definitely don't get sent back to the Nottingham to be repackaged lol. That's spending good money on shipping after the bad money of a flopped product. Where do you think the books went for third? Where do you think the starters went after the switch from third to fourth? "My old dog went to go live on a farm" logic from people that are unfamiliar with retail. Whenever a new spearhead comes out and if there were 2 of the old ones on the shelves, those old ones get opened, the bases get saved and the sprues get binned. When army boxes are on the shelves for weeks and then they aren't, they got binned. Sometimes the shopkeeps will save a few of them, but they didn't sell for a reason, so it's not like they want a bunch of fugly barbarians either. Use your brains lol. Even third party stockists do this because a lot of times if people don't want stuff at 200, they probably still don't want it at 100 either. And when it comes to Stormcast, people straight up don't even want them at a 90% discount.

I can say with confidence that around 60 - 80 percent of anything with the words Age of Sigmar on it that went to a GW property or a third party retailer was or will end up in the bin. They are able to write off the full MSRP of the products as losses, so they help cook the books for tax purposes. And even then, those products did their job well of keeping the fantasy sculptors drillled and preventing others from entering the market of a 40k style fantasy game. Why do you think they gave away pallets of Skaventide at Adepticon? Because it sold so well that they made more to celebrate! Lol Santa isn't real mates. AOS is a mirage.

AOS isn't cool enough like 40K is to justify the paid rules. In addition, the endless spells and faction terrain just need to be removed completely. AOS is more expensive to get into than 40k for a game that is less popular.
