Reminder: You are NOT lightspeed if you cannot circle the entire planet 7 times in a second. I don't care if your character dodged light or lightning. It was either the rule of cool, or the attack wasn't moving at light speed.
Otherwise, every one in Avatar the Kast Airbender would be mach 300 because they dodge lightning.
Otherwise, everyone in X-Men the Animated Series and Spider-Man the Animated series would be FTL because they dodge guns that shoot lasers.
Otherwise, everyone in Star Wars would be FTL because they dodge lasers.
See where I'm going with this?
If your character is FTL, then in the story, travel time should ALWAYS be instantaneous if the story takes place on a single planet. There shouldn't be a single situation where you character has to spend time traveling somewhere, and it should be impossible for your character to be late to a date, school, or work
