The solution is to not play shit (aka modern AAA) games and not be a mindless consumer. Build a new PC, upgrade the gpu a few years in, a few more years in do a full rebuild. Play your cards right and 90% of your components will last 10+ years. Replacing shit every other year for no reason other 'bigger number go higher' is mindless consumerist behavior.
