>Now give some concrete reasons why those records are not, in fact, metal, and what genre they actually are
Zeppelin I and II only have Dazed and Confused, Communication Breakdown, and Whole Lotta Love, and all three of them are very still majority hard rock in terms of structure, riffs, etc. Look at Communication Breakdown for instance. The main riff is pretty metallic, yeah, but the rest of the song is firmly rooted in rock, and does not get anywhere near heavy enough to become a Sabbath situation. And IV has no metal at all in ANY song. The closest off the record you get is Black Dog, but that song's only real metallic trait is the crunchy guitar tone, but that's as far as it goes.
Slipknot has some metal songs but to me their music just sounds like heavy alt rock with rap. Similar to Korn and Limp Bizkit, the music is more rooted in alternative/rap rock than any genre of metal.

The purist side of me wants to say to play the official release... but the original Famicom/NES version can be a dreadful playthrough, even compared to a lot of other RPGs from its time. Though this honestly depends on whether you want to play with the easy ring, or play the game how it was originally intended to be played.

One character in the entire show whose sole point is to be the tsundere trope taken to its logical extreme

>there is literally no development
You know what? While there is a little development in the show there's not a lot. But it's not really a character driven show to begin with, it's a gag driven show and the characters deliver the gags.
>no characters to even speak of
You're missing the point of the show. You're viewing it like an actual slice of life show, view it on its own merits.

>n-no you don't understand bro the game's good but you need a million quality of life patches and-and
If you have to drastically alter a game so much in order to enjoy it, then it wasn't a good game to begin with.
