I don't really find the gamecube worth it unless you're really into Nintendo. Xbox is a significantly better proposition especially in 2025. You'll get a much fuller library by getting the Wii which makes up for a lot of the GC's shortcomings.

No, I like them for the games they have and how developers use the hardware. I also like the user experience. I'll defend anything that has games, and know the end result of memes like "nogames" is people ignoring good games. I find that to be the worst thing.

They're all 640x448 tiles which is a slight resize of some games. It's just meant to cleanly fill the grid. Use good component cables and force 480p when possible, if you don't have a CRT a retrotink5x does a great job juggling the 480i image in most games to look more like 480p.
