Sony is complete dogshit for adapting in terms of actual results. The sensor cover glass is so thick it even erodes SLR lens quality, not just Leica.
The best systems for adapting old lenses are Nikon Z (particularly the Z7 series as they lack an AA filter like the SL) and Leica SL, due to the thin sensor glass.

>There, an actual reason.
Not just Leica.
>subject to light flicker banding
Easily solved by shooting at the right shutter speed, + there are options to do so automatically with flicker detection.
I agree that the lack of a mechanical shutter in these cameras is a serious downside, but these are the compromises.
>sigma fp and lumix s9 have corner smearing issues with leica shit
There, an actual reason.
If Nikon (or Leica themselves) were to come out with a FF compact as/close to as small as a Sigma or gripless A7C, it would be a strong choice, but unfortunately nothing like it exists.
In my case the choice in this class boils down to literally just A7C and Sigma and Sigma wins for the reasons I have stated. The only way to avoid these issues is to bypass them entirely with e.g a compact non-system camera.
