I think the current rate of release for summer students is fine.

There's a gacha game that unironically ran out of swimsuit options for two reasons:
>They released too many swimsuits alts every year
and
>They stopped releasing regular characters at a steady pace
As result they started to re-release previous characters that already had swimsuits with a different one

It was pretty humilating when they hosted the yearly poll to gauge summer interest, and there was nothing good to vote for anymore
