its pretty goofy though. turkey would be better off long term if they focused on space, even if only from a military perspective. just look at how massively successful starlink has been. it's singlehandedly hard carrying ukraine. its also instrumental in protecting countries from long range missile attacks and can give you the intel needed to carry out and monitor covert operations far away from the homeland. that doesnt include all the economic benefits and great power status that it gives you.

Imagine doing again a massive Operation Overlord in this day and age, with shitloads of boats, even two floating gigantic artificial ports brought over the Channel, when spy sats exist. Literally impossible.
