I did the same. I dropped it after episode 19 and read her ending instead, and it's genuinely superior as an ending from a storytelling standpoint. In the Minori end, everyone from Ryuuji to Minori to Taiga to Kitamura develops, finds happiness and fulfills their dreams, while the anime end is just forced drama shit where everyone but Taiga is left to rot, with her even leaving Ryuuji behind at the end for contrived reasons. It's literally a bad end in comparison.
