And the creator's naive idea got usurped by corporate greed and promptly moved into scummy monetization, which was VERY obvious because he literally had zero plan for how to actually support funding the game itself, thus did some NA ***s weasel themselves into the project
It also stopped being a card game and turned into autobattler slop

Whereas Shadoba could and was F2P for many, and the monetization was pretty standard and unintrusive, often cosmetic.
