Why should games get exception for standard on other digital software you can purchase?
It isn't about US to explain to you why it should last forever, but YOUR JOB to try and argue why a digital product you buy shouldn't follow standards from both old vidya and current software.
Especially if you buy a physical product like a game disc.

These "services" don't say they are services in their store pages.
There should read in that case

In store page front and center. If it says anywhere, ANYWHERE that you are buying a game and not a service, it is false advertising. Preferably they should also disclose in bold big letters that they can block your access whenever they feel like it, with or without any reason.

I don't care. If you sell a licence rather than a product, tell it front and center on store page. Being a slithering snake and hiding it in paperwork is fucking despicable and you as a seller know you are scamming people. Otherwise you would be 100% okay telling your customers they don't own what they purchase.
