The bigger problem with your democrats is that there's a very obvious split within the part, there's a bunch of centrists, borderline republicans, and then there's leftists a la Bernie, and the democrats in power absolutely hate the leftists and their politics. Meanwhile republicans are largely united and they have indirect and sometimes even direct support from centrist dems who'll do anything to fuck over leftist dems. Picrel is your democratic party.
