Sonic is cool and confident, he doesn't care what people think of him, and sticks to his ideas even if everyone else tells him he's wrong. This is a core part of the character, so it is reasonable to expect Sonic fans to appreciate this. Yet someone here tried to shame another poster for having an unpopular opinion, by saying the following:
>You're the only one that believes this.
This is sad not only for the people receiving this type of comment, but even more so for the person who said it in the first place. He indirectly revealed that he doesn't express himself because he is insecure. Conformity is what people like this value, and so they try to use it to control other people too. Because of their attitude, their opinions, or what they claim are their opinions, are insincere and worthless. Even the occasional time they might be trying to be honest they can't be trusted, and they are easily manipulated into saying the complete opposite of how they actually feel.
