If you play fighting games all the time, you will naturally notice command inputs other players do. When you know that, you are then able to calculate what game plans they use giving you an edge in a 50/50 situation. Covering your motions means your opponent cannot memorize you're controller buffering. It isn't something I can do, and I have no intention to try either as this is the domain of pros at the top of their game.
