projecting midwit. one of my cats is anxious of the outdoors and relaxes immediately as he goes inside. I tried making him enjoy the outdoors for a year now and while he's no longer terrified, he's still going to his safe spot all the time and doesn't move from there until i use food to make him climb down. he's always alert and tense.

they do actually. and their preference is based on the environment they grew up in, but even that can be changed with time. except it's a terrible idea to try to make an indoors cat become a perma outdoors cat since they might not be able to handle the outdoors and die
