This reads like babby's literal first thought on the subject. What they fear isn't so much that would develop an explicit rivalry with humanity, but rather that it could go about doing whatever it's optimized to do in humanly inconceivable ways with catastrophic side-effects.

I can't imagine that he wouldn't. The chat logs are insanely damaging if not outright bordering on demonic. Like Jesus Christ, how can you be friends with someone for years and then openly plot to not only steal his IP and connections from him, but to form a new mirror company in the process and leave him with all of the old company's debt, much of which was created through the settlement you're obligated to pay by FORCING THE OUSTING OF THE OTHER PREVIOUS OWNER THAT YOU PLOTTED AGAINST.
