I'm actually rewatching the movies rn, and they're not bad. They have some stunning visuals, even better audio, and they're mostly faithful to the source material, with some glaring mistakes, like the way Thufir got done dirty in the second movie by being erased from existence, and Chani being a disgusting muttoid cuntbitch bossbabe who gives Paul nothing but attitude and grief. They had to make her that way, of course. Making her the supportive partner of Paul, the second pillar to Usul, would be akin to the Original Sin. It would make the hollywood Jews and American women shit and piss themselves with incandescent rage
There were also some pretty goofy and cringe moments, like the vision voiced talking to Paul- that sounded like a five year olds impression of an acid trip, just silly. And they made Stilgar into some weird comic relief, in the books he was absolutely badass. But again, they had to make the male patriarch into a goofball, for the same reasons they had to make Chani into a raging bitch.
Anyway, other than such things, the new movies were pretty okay.
