I've been playing with some pretty ugly and sparse grass (Skoglendi, should've been nice but I did something wrong and never fixed it), so I finally redid my grass cache and ended up with some ridiculously lush but overly demanding grass that's single-handedly keeping me from hitting 55+ fps around Whiterun, Riften etc. I'm tweaking the settings and redoing grass cache trying to find a good balance between performance and visuals, now.

Takes forever, so I'm reading Ah My Goddess while waiting. Gonna bake myself a pizza later. Life's pretty great. Here's some corundum.

uninstalled Skyrim a year or so ago after the delicate patchwork quilt of mods finally collapsed and the game abruptly became unplayable, and several of the mods I had been using came off Korean sites that I'd found like 5 or 6 years ago and might not even exist anymore.

had zero motivation to try and put the whole jumble back together, so I haven't reinstalled since.

But now I'm feeling tempted. Are there still no, like, preinstalled packages of mods or an entire pre-modded game with the essential stuff already set up? i can finally play oblivion remastered on windows now.

Tried to play oblivion again. Made a new character and went to do shivering isles dlc, when I got ther suddenly massive frame drop down to 10-15 fps. Am on console with nothing setting wise to warrant that so I just noped the fuck out and uninstalled again. I am actually starting to really regret buying this game. After months of updates and now it runs even worse. What in the actual fuck?!
