what movies/shows do you like that are about japan but were not made by the japanese? i'm looking for more media to get hyped for the next trip.

if you still want recommendations, you should say what you are interested in. i didnt mention any weeb stuff, but if you like anime there is denden town in osaka for that.
also, the american movie Black Rain was filmed in osaka in the 80s. it's by ridley scott who did blade runner and alien. at times it's a silly movie, but worth a watch to hype up an osaka trip.
