It's not rocket science. LGBT people tend to be mostly liberals and leftists. The left has been taught to be overly sympathetic to Muslim people because they've faced discrimination since 9/11. However, they have overcompensated. They seem to have forgotten that religious people, and that includes Muslims, are often socially conservative. So now they have to contend with the reality that this group that they were taught to bend the knee for hates this other group that they're supposed to protect and look out for and the left has no answer to that. They just kind of expect Muslims and LGBT people to just kind of get along out of nowhere which is obviously not going to fucking happen. Especially in areas where religious people get in power. The fact of the matter is, you can only have something resembling an equal society when you go full atheism. Any time you allow religion into the coalition you are automatically gimping that goal because religious people are incapable of keeping their religion to themselves. They will ALWAYS try to push their religion on others in EVERY circumstance. Everyone knows this is true but for some reason we have to pretend its not.
