Sorry I think I misunderstood your question. If you play Sephiroth while Sibsig Ceremony is already out and sacrifice a creature with his ETB trigger for the 4th kill to transform him while the Sibsig Ceremony trigger is on the stack he will still die. You do still get a sweet emblem as compensation.
