I'm referring to the barrel nut threads. Lithium grease. From memory, the only thing getting rockset is the muzzle device. Buffertube is greased and staked. The entire weapon is designed with armorer work in mind and dissassembly is facilitated.
I suspect rockset in the barrel extension threads is considered unnecessary and likely inconsistent. I've never bought a barrel I needed to assemble so wouldn't be certain what's normal.
