Singapore was kicked out because the Malaysians thought they'd never survive on their own. imagine for example American kicking out Rhode Island.
but then the Singaporeans fucking came back round and over the course of about twenty years lapped Malaysia. from about 85 Malaysia was playing catch-up.
that's like what if the Rhode Island Republic proceeded to surpass the 49 States in GDP.
