He’s not wrong. The only reason they still make capeshit is because people DO still pay to see it. Not all of them have been actualy bombs like Captain Marvel 2, enough people are still seeing them to justify making more and continuing this cinematic universe slop trend. Not enough of these movies are bombing to be able to definitively say that capeshit is dead or DEI is dead, because it’s not like the movies that include the latter elements are making less than 1 million dollars like Cuck did. Look at the Lilo and Stitch remake: that movie was terrible and came right off the heels of Snow White, and people saw it anyway. Snow White being an absolute dumpster fire meant nothing to the masses, they saw it as an isolated incident.
The money is still coming out of the consumer’s pockets, so it is the consumers who should be most held responsible for things staying as they are.

The MCU has always sort of had this problem, hasn't it? They're painfully generic and uninteresting, though some designs can be cool in their own way while still being inferior to the comic versions. Whiplash immediately comes to mind as an early example. His showing on the racetrack was cool but he was extremely dull, and this trend continued all the way through with only a few exceptions.

Blame Kang flopping too hard, now they have to unceremoniously make Doom the new big big bad and make Galactus go first. Nevermind the fact that Doom is only a Thanos-level antagonist due to name recognition and Galactus is a far more threatening presence. But fuck all that, I guess.
