alright you little bitch im sick of your shit.
DRYanon2 from the yellow threads here.
you know what i've got going for me for my fangame? the fact that i've got a story i want to tell... and thats more or less it.
i cant do art, music composition is lost on me, im lazy, i dont even know if people will like what i write, and going into this i knew very little C# (meaning I'm going to need to rewrite quite a few scripts before i make a proper release of any kind)

i started making an ambitious fangame with almost no initial skill.

i had to use DRYanon1's sprites to kickstart things before i found a few people willing to help in the spriting field, and once im done with the base systems i'll have to make a tech demo to beg for musicians and more spriters before i can start working on a proper chapter 1.
but do you think i let any of that stop me?
nope, i've slowly been chipping away at this for the past year and a half, and now im closer to having the fangame's base systems complete than not.
has it taken longer than i wanted due to my own laziness? absolutely, but i've still not given up.
will i drop it if absolutely nobody likes what i put out? yeah, probably.
but at least i'd be able to say that i didnt give up before even knowing that i couldn't.

if you truly want to make something, then you have no excuse to not even try. NOBODY is so utterly pathetic that they genuinely cant find a way to express their creative desires.
there's something out there for you, even if its as simple as making the occasional green of an idea that pops in your head. maybe thats how you train your ability to write longer and longer stories
on the other hand, you know what you get from self depreciation like this? absolutely fucking nothing. you'll have nothing to show for your ideas if you look at the mountain and say "oh but its too hard! i'll never be as great as the guy that already climbed the mountain!!!" before even taking the first step.
