I could write an essay, but I will not subject you to that.
For me personally (as a femme), I'm really attracted to the butch/femme dynamic and the associated personality traits that butches tend to have. They are basically the very best parts of masculinity, without the man being present (thus also lacking the toxic elements of masculinity); the peak of masculinity I would argue.
They are also the only cis people I have every met who actually 'got' transness and seemed to not only understand that part of me, but do so on an almost instinctual basis.
Plus, masc women are just super fucking hot. The more masc the better.

>I'm also not that well versed on butchfemme so i kinda feel like i'm going to be talking out my ass
In fairness, these days most people don't really understand butch/femme. They use the terms as shorthand for masculine/feminine.
In reality they are specific identities that imply a number of things and have an association with masc/feminine presentation.
>butchfemme feels like roles are more clearly defined
Very much so and that has a ton of appeal to me personally.
>i get that u can run into issues if ur both exclusive bottoms though
Another benefit of clearly defined roles desu.
