Oh, that’s REAL fucking rich from the little crispy midget after it was also highly implied Mercury was the one who fucked over the Vanguard’s sensors so nobody would detect Ghaul’s coming until it was too late (except I, not requiring those sensors, simply proceeded to strike first, gut the Almighty’s engines, starve out most of Ghaul’s forces and proceed to mount Ghaul’s tortured atop the Tower as a warning to other alien races). Then again, considering Mercury has been converted into a machine world, cracked in half by the Almighty (in canon) and Taken by the Witness, I guess it’s possible it might’ve had a change of heart like people in traumatic accidents seriously reevaluating their life priorities.
And it’s ultimately irrelevant because the Nine retain enough of a consensus to KEEP using the Emissary to express their collective will. How many fuckups are going to be tolerated until someone figures out a way to punish a planet? How many chances should a being that can reach through time and space to make it’s will done be given? How much can the word of an entity that perceives time and space in a way alien even to the Vex, presumably enough to see the moment of the Final Shape BUT DO NOTHING to save all the lives lost when the Witness invaded Earth, and how does one differentiate culpability amongst a group unwilling to disclose how many of it’s actions were done in concert and how many individually? Why should I give a single rat shit about the Nine when they haven’t lifted a FINGER to save the millions of humans, Fallen and Cabal in the solar system, some of whom died as a direct result of their machinations? Again, like Ikora
More importantly, /how many other Nine-like entities are there out there in the universe, fighting their own civil wars?/
The universe requires correction.

Despite operating more like a divine revelation than a discrete individual to most of them, yes. I keep the bills paid. I do the dishes. I vacuum. Due to the abstract nature of my presence, families I am part of without a plot-relevant avatar experience this as happy moment of synchronicty around a person-shaped hole. I even endeavour to look after the interests of plot-relevant families like Nemesor Zahndrekh, even after the Necrons jump rendered any delusion of familial relationship moot.
My uncertainty about whether or not I am a good son to the one who matters the most is a source of deep consternation to me.

Theoretically Leviathan should be able to do something like make all the water in your body explode when he stops fucking around, right? And I don’t think they’re doing shit to Simmy because to be frank, WoW characters have never fought a precognitive as powerful as Ms. “I scream, 4-6 business days later you suddenly realise you want to commit suicide”
