You also gotta remember that tanks don't do these situations alone. A tank will usually get bodied in like 10 seconds without healing, unless they outgear it by one or two expacs (you can currently solo up to most if not all Shadowlands raids atm). Having gear is also important, though again Behemoth can probably get past that since you can't get 100% resistance against everything. Though if we're using Algalon as a baseline then you can fight them around Mists of Pandaria level since that is when he first became solo-able.

So a tank with Shadowlands or War Within level gear should be able to handle most of the endbringers, I don't think any of them have a way to deal with the time manipulating guy or Behemoth, short of having a pocket healer or Evoker with the Bronze powers.

Master PC will be able to set the levels back. I don't have a specific perk for setting the level requirements but all my accumulated bullshit should be capable of it. Smartphone Isekai's smartphone (for targetting) and Technomagical Genius (for editing) comes to mind. I've also got Sublimation from Fate France so I could just create a copy with the restriction. Ton of other crafting perks too.

If you can split them temporarily, you can probably import the Soul Edge into the Aegis blade after recruiting Pyra/Mythra in Xenoblade 2 (and maybe steal another Monado to be safe). Though you might need to go to a Capcom jump that has the everything vs style crossover toggle/drawback to make sure the local reality's unstable enough for that to work since 4 dimensions worth of multiverse were about to collapse on one another when Namco x Capcom had the Soul Edge split Lilith and Morrigan near the Zohar shown in Xenosaga 1.

Nah you can go after who you want in addition to the person or persons you choose. It may be a bit odd but you will have to work it out.

You can take this jump as a first jump fine, You can be an accidental student just fine; replacing Tsukune, that's going to be rough and may take a good amount of luck and cleverness. He died a lot of times, the Accidental Student perks will help but it's no guarantee.

I never spent too much time thinking about sparking and the omniverse after the jumps.
I basically just copied what i saw in other jumps: Lifting the (arbitrary) restrictions placed upon the jump to maintain interjump balance, once the chain ends.
So by that logic, yes, one could treat the post-spark omniverse as an extension of the Amber shadow multiverse.
I don't know how other jumps with similar metaphysics (all of reality is merely a reflection of a prime setting/or all of reality and fiction and existence is contained within that setting) handle post chain

Hmm Im debating whether or not itd be okay to do the scenario in romance of the three kingdoms where you need to conquer china and place your own family on the royal throne and changing it up where its basically a different family your giving patronage and who follows your ideals instead. Ellen was having a terrible day. She'd gone over to a friend's house for a sleepover - which was a code word they mostly used as an excuse to do their duties as Princesses and defend the town from shadows - and the fight had run long. Or rather, more and more shadows just kept showing up. Danielle had done an augury in the two minutes they had between the fourth and fifth shadows, and Katie had just outright called another group of girls to discover they were also getting hit hard. There was something in the north of the city that the shadows were fleeing from by all accounts.

Actually, it wasn't just the shadows. She'd seen a number of other people pass them by, going dangerously close to the fight in an attempt to make their way through. Some of them had been normal, but then there had also been this one butt ugly guy who was eating a rat as he went, just kind glazed-eye rambling past them in an effort to avoid whatever was stirring up shit in the northern half of the city. She didn't know who he was, but the fact he'd hoped down a sewer drain made her wish him well. She hoped things got better for him and he didn't have to live in the sewers anymore. Assuming he lived there, at least.

But all of that was secondary, because a great rumbling noise and a cacophany of crashing sounds were heading their way. Rachel put up a ward to try and control the battlefield, while Mary put some buffs on Clarisse, who was rumaging through her back of brass knuckles that she'd stolen from gangsters to find a pair that weren't broken. She held up a pair triumphantly, moved to show them off, and then nearly dropped them as a giant snake burst onto the street. Its head was easily the size of a car, and they couldn't tell how long the thing was. All of it was jet black, bar its silvery eyes and faint designs written in silver scales that dotted its length.

The snake's eyes blink slowly, first the left, then the right as it considered them. Its body pulls forward, coiling slightly as though settling down in a seat.

Ellen licked her lips. Give her something to work with, would you? "I'm sorry, I actually know eight people who call themselves the king of this or the king of that - what kind of king are you looking for?"

"Hmm... I don't know a king of uncloaked steel. I know a king of swords? Does your king use any kind of fire powers, or is perhaps fond of exploring?"

Fuck. She'd already been having a terrible day. And then her body slams into the wall of the shopping mall they generally used as a gathering point and had been trying to regroup at as part of their disengaging. Thanks to a clever series of everyone's parents thinking they were at someone else's house, they usually had free reign to run around as a group before being picked up at the mall, but -

Everything hurt, and Ellen stopped thinking for a moment.

Howard Oaks glides through today like a boat on a calm sea with a fair wind. His girlfriend pulls him along between the vendors and into another clothing store. He's already spent quite a bit on her, but he can't find himself to be mad at her. Not when their first stop in the store is the dressing room. A sales associate tries to greet them, but she just waves her hand in front of their face and then blink a few times before wandering off. He would wonder about that, but that would mean not staring at her ass, so the thought slips through his mind.

The instant he closes the door, she presses her lips into his, her nude body curling against him as she smiles teasingly.

Before she can do much of anything else, unfortunately, a dull rumble echoes through the building. He blinks, once, twice, and then - "Earthquake? Very large car crash?"

"No, shut up." his girlfriend responds. Her clothes are already halfway on and she seems kind of pissed. Hopefully not at him. "Feels... big. Like something I want to be nowhere near. Congrats, you get to try and break my bed."

Sounds like fun. His girlfriend is such a lovely girl sometimes. She grabs his hand and starts dragging again, pulling them out of the store and towards the parking lot. He can't recall if she has a car, but he came here on his bike so he could always carry her away to safety.

They step out into the parking lot, and his girlfriend sucks in a breath as she about faces and turns the other direction. A giant snake is winding its way through the parking lot, tail rising and falling and smashing the cars seemingly at random. And then a girl in a poofy princess dress and wearing a pair of brass knuckles appears as if from nowhere to slam her fist into the snake's head. It shifts, screeching in pain, before its body coils and shifts, effectively hip checking her with enough force to slam her into a nearby car.

‘That girl looks familiar’ is the last thought to run through his head before his girlfriend's hand around his wrist pulls him away from the fight and back into the mall.

Angelica ran. She’d felt slightly off all day, the vague and unnerving sense that something bad was about to happen building up over the course of the week.. Flashes of something in the corner of her vision, leaving her twitchy. Maria had noticed, spent ten minutes searching around online, and then offered her a massage, utterly confident that it would help because she’d read it online. Nevermind the fact that she had no skill at doing so.

…It had actually been fairly nice, but that was more about spending time with her sister than anything else. Maria was hilariously busy, and the only reason she wasn’t even more busy is because the principal had put his foot down when she’d ran for, and then gotten the votes needed to get every position on the student council. Specifically he’d flatly told her no, to pick a specific one, and then given the rest to the runner ups.

But that wasn’t relevant. Because it hadn’t actually helped her calm down at all. The thing was still there, still watching her. She’d heard snippets of birdsong, but they’d been… artificial. Repetitive. The exact same song every time. And then the monster had stepped out of the shadows, the song echoing from its mouth shaping itself into feathered musical notes that had flown through the air and embedded themselves into the wall. They’d almost hit her, but she’d run. She was still running.

Angelica would stop running when the song stopped, but it hadn’t so she kept moving, blind terror driving her forwards. She knew, deep in her gut, that if that thing caught her, it would kill her. She didn’t know what it was, some cross between a bird and a person. It might have wings, or just be wearing a feathered cloak. It might be wearing a bird mask, or maybe that was its face. She didn’t know and she didn’t care. She kept running.

Unfortunately, she ran into yet more danger. Her path crossed into a main road, revealing a trail of destruction carving its way through the city center. Cars pushed aside and partially crushed, a portion of the road fractured and splintered as though something immense had been dragged along. She paused for just a second to catch her breath, and then realized something.

The trail was leading directly towards the nearby shopping mall. The one her little sister always managed to drag her friends too after a sleepover, be it for shopping, a movie, or just to hang out and chat in the food court. Kid things. The mall her sister was supposed to be at right now, the one Howard was supposed to be picking her up from. Fuck.

Angelica turned and ran. She really didn’t want whatever was chasing her to hurt her siblings, but she also needed to know they were safe. And maybe, if she was lucky, it would go back to lurking if she found a big enough crowd.

Angelica chased. The fetch was slippery, and could sense her. Most of her daggers were missing by inches, the thing jerking out of the way at the last possible second. It was actually infuriating. Angelica only had so much time to deal with it, to get her life back, before the rest of her family noticed. Dad was out of town on one of his business trips. Howard was doing something at the mall. Ellen was having a sleepover, being childish. Maria was at school, being ridiculous. Mother was at home.

Her window of opportunity was small, and she didn’t want to miss it. That’s why she’d ambushed the fetch and immediately jumped to lethality, but - well, it wasn’t working very well. Angelica wasn’t actually a very good runner. Her clawed feet were better for jumping than running, and better at gripping than actually providing stability. The fetch might actually be faster than her, but Angelica could at least jump good, gliding short distances after it.

Although the fetches erratic changes in direction made that irritating as well, like just now. It had hit the main road and made a sharp turn. The absolutely wrecked main road. It made Angelica nervous, but she heard no horns and no dogs, so she kept chasing. Only a little longer and she’d be able to put this wretched echo of herself into the ground. In fact, it wasn’t turning any more, just running ahead at full speed.

Ah, the mall. The mall Howard was at. It wanted crowds, a large number of people. It thought it would be safe. How wrong it was. Angelica leaped forwards, using a fallen telephone pole to leap off, and slammed into the things back. It hit the ground and screeched, even as she wrapped one of her feet around its neck and pressed the claws of her other into its back.

“ELLEN!”

…Why was it screaming? Did it somehow expect her useless little sister to save it? No, shouldn’t it have called for Howard instead? That didn’t make sense -

Angelica looked up, and blanched. A truly massive snake, jet black, was moving about the parking lot, fighting a team of young girls in frilly dresses. That was. Um. What? No, wait, where was her sister? She shouldn’t be near this kind of thing. Angelica shifted, getting ready to pop the fetches head off her shoulders when she finally caught sight of her sister.

She was leaning against a car, one of her arms utterly mangled, bone peaking out. Bad. That was bad. She held something up, some glowing golden thing, and then her sister was gone and another girl was there in her place. Massive blonde hair, and a number of glowing golden revolvers floating in the air around her, which she grabbed and started shooting at the snake with.

Ah. Her sister had somehow found power. That was… good? Bad?

The snake twisted and writhed under the assault of the girls, and then seemed to pause, focusing entirely on Ellen. It’s tail snapped out, slamming into where she had been seconds before, screaming out in rage as it went.

Oh, the giant snake had a personal grudge against her sister. That was nice. Angelica shivered and hissed. Not fair. Not fair. Not fair. Why did her sister always have to be such a pain. Always demanding more and more attention, taking up more and more of her time. She had the fetch under her claws. SHE HAD IT. And she would have to give it up to save her, because mother always knew when she did something wrong with her siblings. Even after years, she still believed that. Still wanted to believe it.

A shudder ran through her body, her bones shifting and snapping. Her cloak of feathers flows downwards and backwards, before cutting short and turning to scales as a second set of powerful legs erupt from her back, claws slamming into the pavement. The mask she’s wearing, a mixture of a masquerade ball mask and a plague doctor's mask falls from her face as her Mask shatters. She looks down, and sees the fetch staring back up at her, shock and horror in its eyes. She clicks her tongue, stepping forward and over the damn thing.

“You should be able to copy my contacts. Make yourself useful and do so.”

It’s the only piece of advice she plans to give the thing. Especially now that she’s running on a timer. She has minutes at best, so she’d better wrap this up quickly. She sucks in a deep breath, and SCREAMS. The sound that erupts from her throat isn't a song, isn’t the verbal daggers she normally uses. It’s just pure noise, the kind of thing that shatters eardrums and leaves you deaf for some time after. The kind of thing that hits like a truck.

Howard blinks. Once, twice. An idea is worming its way through his brain, and it’s not one he likes. His girlfriend is whispering sweet nothings, but he’s distracted. He knows his sister's voice. He knows that one of them is screaming the other's name.. He just can’t think of a reason for them to be doing that. He turns in the direction of where he thinks the scream is coming from, the far side of the mall. They’re almost to the other end, after turning around on account of the giant snake.

Oh. Right. The giant snake. Weird thing to forget about. Oddly unimportant compared to spending time with his girlfriend. But the idea is percolating in his brain now and it won’t go away. Giant snake in the parking lot. Oddly familiar girl getting thrown into a car. Elder sister screaming younger sister's name.

One of of his sisters are way the fuck too close to that thing. Possibly two.

The instant the thought actually registers, his arm is ripped out of his girlfriend's grip and Howard bolts. Yeah, no, fuck that shit. Pushing his way past another retreating couple, he jumps up over a bench and starts using the middle area to bypass the crowd. He can hear his girlfriend behind him, but his sisters are in front and that’s more important.

Reaching the parking lot again, he takes everything in. A bunch of what look like magical girls are fighting the snake. Some kind of half bird-half lizard monster slams into its side, scratching at it, but is thrown back. They aren’t hurting it. Scales are too thick, maybe? Or just magic? He didn’t particularly believe in magic, but hey, giant snake. At the very least he could jive with the things defense stat being too high to seriously hurt. But when that’s the case, just hit them somewhere softer.

His next steps take him into the parking lot, and he grabs at a ruined sign as he moves past. It damn near rips his arms out of his socket, the fucking thing has way too much concrete stuck onto the bottom, but he shifts into swinging it in a circle and manages to pick up speed again.

So, like a fool, he runs up to the snake and slams the pointy end of the sign directly into its eye. The snake rears back, actually injured for once, and then seems to shrink in on itself, growing smaller even as it’s thrashing forces him to backpedal the fuck away from it before he gets hit by it and sent flying himself.

It’s eye is bleeding and ruined, and it shifts to lock him in the gaze of its other one. Behind him, one of the girls calls out “Are you stupid???”, which he politely ignores. He grins at the snake, trying to put on a face full of bravado.

“Sup, bitch?”

“HUSBAND.” the snake replies.

And then Howard was a Solar. ...which is to be continued in part 2, because this is huge and I haven't even done the succubus's pov yet, or had Maria dropkick her way into the fight, or gotten task force valkyrie involved. Ten fucking posts, damn.

Iirc it went something like this:


1) That one lithomancer planeswalker arrives furious at Innistrad because neither of her allies, Ugin and Sorin, answered her calls for help (the seals on the Eldrazi are weakening) and Sorin seems to be fine when she finds him

2) Sorin tells her that Ugin is dead, and that the prison seal he created for Innistrad's demons must have stopped the message from reaching her, because he didn't receive it.

3) The conversation goes wrong because Sorin's bad social skills, lithomancer's preexisting complexes about how much Sorin cares (because Sorin mentored her during her formative years as a new planeswalker, but how much do those few years matter to a 7000+ year old former Oldwalker?), and because she wants to drag Sorin to Zendikar NOW (she's in Innistrad because her patience already ran out, after all) and Sorin wants to wait because he's busy in Innistrad right now.

4) A fight begins, but Sorin was weakened by the creation of the prison seal and/or Avacyn and is on the backfoot

5) Avacyn notices the fight and tries to intervene, but Sorin realizes that she doesn't stand a chance against the planeswalker, who doesn't see her as anything other than a normal summon or monster instead of Sorin's magnum opus/daughter/the one thing keeping Innistrad from imploding/irreplaceable creation/whatever

6) As a last resort, Sorin shoves the lithomancer into the prison seal to stop her. The prison seal for demons. The prison seal FULL of demons. The prison seal with NO EXIT or way to free someone, because it was meant for permanently get rid of demons. So she spends I don't know how many years locked up with the demons inside the seal.

7) Sorin eventually goes to check Zendikar's seals, but his guide breaks them because she senses them hurting the land (because of the Eldrazi inside) and because she discovers that Sorin is a vampire and all the Zendikar ones are evil. And we already said that Sorin is bad at communicating.

10) The prison seal in Innistrad is shattered (I think it was Liliana Vess, to free/kill one of the demons inside?)

11) Our planeswalking lithomancer returns to Zendikar, traumatized by her experienced as a prison roommate of demons, and discovers the Eldrazi broke out and ravaged her home. She doesn't know that Sorin tried to fix their seals.

12) She goes on a rampage of revenge and decides that if Sorin is resposible for Zendikar's fate (after all, being sealed also meant that she couldn't help it herself), an eye for an eye is fine and she summons Emrakul to Innistrad

So I went back and forth on whether or not to do the scenario but I ultimately decided against it. Having imperial china follow you or a version of it replacing regular china in future jumps is just a bit to disruptive and way to much even if Silk wasn't going to rule it directly. Still think Jumpers going to go for uniting china in this jump just without the scenario though.

Probably take the Yellow turbans in their early days and give them his patronage. Spread the movement and prevent them from getting pinned down. Actually spread jumpers beliefs and work them into its ideas so it can hopefully become a legitimate source for good. Is it ethically dubious to co-op a religion? Potentially a little but I think it could work. Just need to keep folks alive until the Han start to fracture from the pressure later on. I think and once that happens start to carve out a new Empire with some Yellow turban candidate that Jumpers brought around to his side.
After the new Dynasty gets formed and Jumpers made sure the imperial family's not immediately going to fall into decadence or corruption. He'll probably find some nice mountain somewhere and work on his cultivation. This Jumps 80 years long so it might be a good opportunity to finish out the A thousand Li cultivation and finally reach the immortal stage. Occasionally checking back in with the new empire over the decades to make sure there on track. And to nip any budding problems that aren't caught on their own. Maybe tutor a few princes or other promising students.

It's bizarre and inconsistent. In the early days of Destiny as a game it was assumed that ghosts were super ultra durable to just about anything, to the extent that guys like the Drifter lived through shit nobody else in the system had ever encountered. Ghosts letting players go through Vex time-wipes was widely touted as peak Ghost durability, and for a while it was believed it took the Hive's (presumed) mastery of the Darkness to render a Ghost mortal.

Then uh, The Witch Queen dropped and suddenly Ghosts are dropping left and right to whatever weapons players have so that players can kill Lucent Hive AND NO at no point is it suggested Ghosts siding with the Lucent Hive makes them somehow more vulnerable to conventional damage (which wouldn't even make sense, because the whole point of the Lucent Hive is that they have entirely rejected Darkness in favour of Light, while still keeping Hive magic because apparently Hive magic itself is distinct from the Darkness), and at one point the player makes like he can shoot his own Ghost to death with the Witness hijacks it, and in general Bungo seems to have completely retconned everything.

It is still broadly true that Ghosts are supposed to be pretty fuckin' durable, it is just very unclear how durable that is.

Where can I pick up some good anti-orbital ground based weapons technology? The only thing I can think of offhand is the Tollan ion cannon turrets from Stargate but they aren't on offer in the jump and the Tollan quite literally won't trade that technology unless their civilization has already been effectively conquered and the ion cannons proven ineffective anyway.

Ace Combat has an anti orbital railgun and a laser IIRC. There are plenty of settings with good engine tech to make missiles worthwhile like Mass Effect with their Eezo drives and the Expanse with the Epstein drive. Halo can make anti-orbital railguns and missiles, though they don't have a lot that is special about them. 40k technically has anti-orbital batteries but those are really short ranged and absolutely massive. Star Trek has plenty of tech to shoot up with. Do you consider fighters to be ground based? Most of those settings can also make good strike craft. There is also the Culture but they don't really live on planets anymore so their ground based weapons would probably nust be their space based ones stuck planet side.

I feel like with the way a lot of jumps are set up, especially more recent ones, you're given more than enough points to basically take whatever origin you want, grab a capstone or two, and steamroll through everything even without needing to think about what you've brought into the world with you. And once you have whatever god weapon you want, every item in every jump just becomes an inches game where you stack small buffs onto your favourite weapon instead of looking at what's available on its own merits.

Ironically I couldn't afford the actual housing perk in it, but I figure I can just drag a mattress and sofa in there at some point. I've been trying to use the Conduit CYOA as my chain premise. It's not that hard, the servants in a Bevin can actually make Linking Books from Myst once a decade and Conduits can gain power form the worlds they visit, so you can just multiply the points Conduits gain by 100. The fact that Conduits grow slower the longer they live is a decent enough limiter too, and the fact that you have to actually spend time exploring new worlds to attune to them is a good way to justify having to get involved in the plot

The only problem is that doing a chain that way means generally not having any local powers by the time the plots kick off, and bookkeeping's a bitch since a Conduit's power growth slows down every fifty points they earn

First of all since this is somewhat related I would like to say, Fuck You Wizrds of the Coast. You are still not forgiven for 4th edition.

So it turns out Innistrad is a dark, drab and creepy place. Several of my companions when we arrived suggested leaving, not for fear mind you, just it looked like a not fun place to be. They were kind of right but I figured I could establish a home base here and prep for some trouble I knew was coming.

My companions went about monster hunting. I kind of felt bad for the monsters there honestly. I however began to prep, I could make angels and I could mage golems While they wouldn’t be as powerful as the angels of this realm I knew they could help in the chaos ahead. I also managed to make contact with Avacyn the main Archangel of the land, she was curious about the army of alien angels that I was amassing, we talked a bit she decided I wasn’t a problem and I warned her of upcoming chaos, which was why I was amassing and army in the first place.

So was working doing my thing and I felt a magical disturbance. I went to check it out and some really angry woman plansewalker was fighting with a vampire planeswalker.

post-crisis DC seems like the safest bet by miles and if you're early enough there's a few random artifacts of power you can pick up before their canon users obtain them. That said I wouldn't like my chances, no history, no money, no support network, no home... I'd be in extremely dire straights very *very* fast unless I just happened to start within near immediate distance where my meta-knowledge can help me grab something good or get in good with someone inclined to help a guy that just got isekai'd with nothing but the clothes on his back and, just as importantly, would be willing to actually believe that.

I feel confident saying I'm now in great shape and kind of average as a marvel sorcerer, not enough to turn heads but enough to get by and most importantly it's a good starting point. Since I'm assuming decent sorcery skill and excellent physical fitness only a natural 1 results in death. 40 or lower and I don't make only minimal progress, 80 or lower and moderate progress, 81-90 is excellent progress and 95+ I make tremendous progress. Going to say I've got a +25 on the roll between meta knowledge and existing magical skill.

Yes. You're born in a normal body that's not bogged down by any disease or disability, with training you could work your way up to someone who is comic book peak human (faster than a bullet, strong enough to lift several hundred pounds with ease, and sturdy enough to be slammed into concrete).
For the magic side of your body, your talent in every field would be average, but you would be capable of learning any magic, ki, or cultivation system that could be found in the setting you find yourself in. If your setting has a mana supply, then you would have an average amount of mana.

I've made excellent progress with my magic and can now claim, with three decades of effort, to be a pretty capable sorcerer. If I were still in Marvel I'd go as far as to say I'd be comparable to a proper "expert" and perhaps a minor "named character" by marvel standards. A solid C-rank hero, basically. Worm is the last of the four starting jumps suggested and is likely going to be the hardest by far, there is no local magic to speak of aside from what I'm bringing with me and I won't be getting a parahuman power. It is also by far the most dangerous as entire sections of the globe just get wiped out.

Natural 1 through 10 is death. 40 or lower is minimal progress, 80 or lower is okay progress, 81-90 is excellent progress and 91+ is tremendous progress. Saying I've got a +30 on this roll between meta knowledge (mostly on where *not* to be) and my pretty decent magical skills. Assuming I survive this jump then I figure this theoretical version of me will be largely set going forwards, with the primary concern just figuring out a method to slow or reverse aging. I'm assuming the "average body" thing started me off at 22 so by the end of Worm I'd be 62 since I'm assuming my age isn't resetting. Even given extensive physical training and high capacity given cape-shit human limits finding a method to deal with age related issues is going to be a very serious concern going forward.

As I was trying to explain: Due to retcons from a few years ago, an average DC human body has the potential to become more powerful than most superweapons. This is because DC humans are superweapons evolved by a Super Celestial (basically a Bigger Angel of God’s Bigger Self) in order to kill her own kind and empower the DC multiverse from it’s original, finite-lifespan having design into an everlasting existence. WITHOUT turning into Perfect Cell expies and gathering the Seven Hidden Forces. Or the Seven Major Forces; it’s worth noting long before Perpetua, under Highfather’s direction the collective hopes and prayers of humanity were able to deflect the Godwave, an actual universe-spanning blast of creative energy from the Source itself (who itself is an aspect of Bigger God)

So I survived and made some okay progress. I would now call myself a proper C+ tier hero, maybe even a B- if I was being generous. Now that the gauntlet of ludicrously dangerous cape worlds is over the immediate main concern is finding a way to magically deal with aging. Marvel magic certainly has a variety of ways to deal with this so it's entirely possible to figure one out. This will be the final hurdle for this theoretically pseudo-jumper and I'm going to say he'll have four attempts (ie four jumps) to figure it out before he dies of old age at 102. Going to roll four times, each with a +25 to represent accumulated magical skill (meta knowledge not really helping here). The target number is 100, so long as at least one roll hits that target pseudo-jumper figures out the secret to immortality and making himself young again before he croaks. If not then he had a good run, if he does then he's basically set going forward.

Well it seems like pseudo-jumper did it. He was in his 80's and running out of time before he finally cracked it but once he did he'd basically "won". He now had ageless immortality and eternal youth and, so far as he knew, was the only magic user on the planet. I'm just going to fanwank and say that since Marvel style magic is about drawing on alternate dimensional energies and that he's now properly immortal he eventually figures out how to reverse engineer the process that had him jumping between dimensions / realities before going on another multi-versal adventure.
