How do we feel about the idea that Dess is the second voice in the intro, who sticks you into Kris?
It kind of makes sense circumstantially, Dess is implied to have either encountered Gaster in the Shelter or somehow fallen so deep in the dark that she got lost in the code. This gives her a direct connection to Gaster, or at least makes her the only character that might exist on the same metaphysical level as Gaster and (You).
It's hard to place anyone else there (besides either some completely out-of-context force like "it's Demon Chara from Undertale lol" or Kris doing it to themself) but it's hard to overlook the questions and implications
>Why would Dess do this to Kris? Why intervene in Gaster's experiment? Or are they working together, and we're just getting punked as part of the plan?
>What does Dess being lost in the code/deep dark imply for Dess as The Roaring Knight? The Knight has some Gaster-y elements but can Dess just go back and forth freely between The Light World and the deeper layers? What makes her "lost" in that case? Are the intro and the UNUSED text meant to be current or before the story?
>More generally, what does this imply for the conspiracy? They seem to be using The Shelter as a base, and the SOUL is part of their plan. Does this imply that Gaster plays a direct role in the actual story of the game, or even that he's a real physical person in the game and directly part of the conspiracy himself?
