That might have some veracity. Strong rote memorization is a perfect talent for appearing intelligent. They way he used to describe his school experience amazed me. No matter how dry, he could just sit there and soak it up for hours and it didn't seem particularly taxing for him. Seen many examples of this. People who appear learned/sharp but can't think flexibly. (or even show hostility to abstract thinking) Oldest friend is an ultra-Jew. He's not creative at all but made it through medical school without complaint. He can't land a job due to personality issues. He may have actually failed becoming a doctor after several rejected internships. You only get so many chances. His inflexible mind can't make proper adjustments to the neurotic mess that is his brain. I've seen the guy throw public tantrums for no appreciable reason. (like too many pickles or some shit)
