Kind of a disappointment if true tbqh, I think its far more compelling if she's was just a regular proto-human/elf/whatever that embraced the void for some reason we learn at a later patch and became its champion, in lorewalking Y'Shaarj even says: "Xal'atath! You betrayed not only the strength of the Black Empire, but the very darkness that embraced you." implying she wasn't originally a void entity, not that modern blizzard can keep their own story straight for even a minute
