>I
Barebones plot, mainly because you can fight the Four Fiends in nearly any order. Cool villain though.
>II
More complex than the other two Famicom games with set party members. Also one of the only FF games with a real RPG dialogue system, it's basically a primitive version of what Morrowind has.
>III
Basic early JRPG adventure plot. Somewhat more depth in the 3D remake which makes the party into full characters.
>IV
Entirely story-driven game where your party composition changes frequently and everyone has set jobs. In the original and Pixel Remaster your party is fixed, in the other remakes you can swap out party members lategame for the last dungeon and any bonus content. The first FF game that's seriously story-heavy.
>V
Still has a set party and the party members are actual characters, with nothing besides names and jobs up to the player. More lighthearted and whimsical than IV but a good story nonetheless.

I could only hope then again I don't really have faith in modern day Square-Enix. But It would be nice if we got an official port of Duodecim on modern platforms.
