I had a similar thought for an SH game. not that anything would ever come about it. But a guy who was medically discharged from the military after injuring his leg. So one day he'd find himself in Silent Hill after getting passed around to multiple VA appointed therapists and such. The "twist" would've been he was breaking the Rules of Engagement and instead of giving him a dishonourbale discharge, they luck out with his injury and send him home with a medical discharge instead. But since he loved the violence and killing and he misses it, he's lulled into Silent Hill in a way for the cultist to indoctrinate and get him on their side. I had a whole list of ideas and some terribly drawn monsters for it, like a guy wrapped in barbed wire, nails, and rebar, which would symbolically be about how he did not want people to get close to him, fear of getting attached or emotional bonds from people who were legitimately trying to help him. I had the plan of having the player choose to save or kill in some brutal fashion the people who wanted to help him, family and friends, military personnel who looked down upon or whatnot.
wish I still had those files, because I'd love to see if it was actually salvageable or just trash.

My steam account is only 14 years old, but my gaming youtube channel is over 17. No I will not share it, it is cringe.
