I'll elaborate as well cause I'm done with my chest grind tonight. My friend play storm haven (which is honestly underrated, I'm surprised at it), which is an aggressive deck.

>He doesn't understand his deck's gameplan
Before I started coaching him he would always goes for the value play instead of the tempo play. So he wouldn't send his followers to attack face but would trade with his opponent's board. Too afraid of taking damage from enemy followers or opponents wiping his board efficiently. Not your concern if you're an aggressive deck. Its your opponent's job to deal with your dudes not the other way around cause you're threatening to kill him
>doesn't understand the concept of playing towards his win condition
Hoards his evolve/super evolve points instead of doing more face damage. He didn't understand that the game is going to be over in like 4 turns so he should use his evolve points every single turn to set himself up to win. He would make a sub-optimal play to clear the opponent's board, despite having storm followers in hand and high hp (if he had gone face instead of wiping that last follower he would have had lethal the following turn)
>doesn't plan out his turns when looking at his hand
Just general inefficiency of using up his play points and dropping shit down in the wrong order. Why drop Darkhaven grace on T2 and then Mainyu on T3, when you could do it the other way round and do three chip damage? He never thought of what to do on the next turn, and the next after that and just played reactively.
>doesn't play the odds (of opponents having X card)
The Runefag didn't drop A&G on turn 5, stop playing as if he's got an A&G in his hand, the odds of him top decking one is unfavourable.
>doesn't play around common cards and common PP.
He's got a 2/2 and a 3/3 on the board and its Portal's turn 5 coming up. He would darkhaven grace buff the 2/2 (so his board is now a 3/3 + 3/3). Just perfect for Alouette to wipe his board. Shit like that.
