No, it's blatant fan-pandering that overly indulges in the familiar iconography from the first movie. Not only is Raiders of the Lost Ark better but Temple of Doom and the Great Circle video game are also better.

I'm 30 and even at my age few people care about Indiana Jones unless they enjoy old movies. Which is a real shame because the original Indy trilogy has a lot of charm and Great Circle is a phenomenal adaptation of the source material.
>first-person
Player engagement studies consistently show that audiences are more engaged when they can see a face/character model on the screen. Though again, I think the first-person perspective gives the semi-stealth-and-fisticuffs gameplay a more emergent and interesting flow. You wouldn't have the same mad scramble for a blunt implement after your last one broke if it was third-person.
>poor marketing
"Punching Nazis" sounds like a woke left talking point. "We want to introduce Indiana Jones to a modern audience" sounds like woke left inclusivity. You pretty much have to market your game by low-key negging your audience and preying on chud insecurities. Say something like "modern gaming is full of insincere millennial writing where you spend more time watching animations than playing the game, we wanted to return to classic action movie dialogue and focus on gameplay where you actually get to play the game" and all the chuds will fall for it.
